Saatchi X employees and clients purchase go-karts, design them and organize an annual race to benefit the CARE Initiative. TRUE BLUE GETS ARTSY

CANADA

PUNTO LIMPIO
Any waste is sent to "punto limpio" a place that receives waste to be recycled. Reservoirs of low consumption. Employees turn off computers when there are not in use.
CHILE

ENVIRONMENT DO In Chile the environmental concern is not a new issue. Fortunately we have been able to move from “concern” to “do.” We have a highly developed environmental legislation that helps avoid the great destructions seen in other parts of the world. For example in Chile, today it is impossible to install in some places of our territory an aluminum processing company or a nuclear power plant. As for our customers and us, we have absolute awareness of the absolute consciousness of the need for their production processes to provide the protection of the environment.
CHILE

BLUE TRAINING

THE LOVEMARKS NOTEBOOKS
It is an office event, inspired from the idea that everybody can do something in order to make his colleagues happy and our planet a little bit healthier. The idea is simple: collect all printed material that we do not need during 2-3 months before holidays and create unique notebooks, that would be distributed when we would all be “back to school” and in great need of stationary.

ECO FRIENDLY Use only eco-friendly light bulbs and have reduced the number of lights used in each room.

GETTING CREATIVE WITH PAPER MariaJose Miselem is a graphic designer at Saatchi & Saatchi Honduras. Like many graphic designers, she is always sketching ideas out on paper. Since drawing is something that she loves, and something she does daily, she decided to create a DOT around drawing: making notebooks out of her scrap paper. So she can get creative while saving trees – way to go MariaJose. She’s inspired her coworkers to make notebooks and scrap paper holders.

BLUE WITHOUT BORDERS
India and Pakistan: two countries united and divided by history. Where a love of Pakistani music and Indian movies, cricket matches and mango exchanges have provided the occasional détente. Perhaps it is now time for a little bit of True Blue diplomacy. So in the True Blue spirit of this belief, Saatchi India & Pakistan have come together on one platform to show the world that we will make these inspiring thoughts a reality. We have taken a big step to bring the Saatchi offices in Mumbai and Karachi together under the TrueBlue initiative. It completely rests with you & me to make this possible.

PLANTING A TRUE BLUE IDEA
Anand Siva at Saatchi & Saatchi Mumbai is selling old newspapers and buying potted plants. He explains, “We sell our monthly newspapers by weight, a common practice in India. The money from this sale is spent buying potted plants – we either keep them or give them to friends and relatives. Money from paper gets reinvested in plant life to encourage more people to take time to garden.”
INDIA

AIR CONDITIONING Centralized air-conditioning is usually turned off 1-2, and also after 6:30 in order to cut down consumption and encourage people to get out a bit more.

JAPAN SUNRISE PROJECT
After the earthquake on March 11th in Japan, Saatchi & Saatchi Tokyo asked the network for some help to reconstruct the country. Saatchi & Saatchi Spain decided to collaborate by making this street marketing action. The challenge was to collect funds by testing the constructive spirit of the people of Japan. Saatchi Spain put into a container some objects, which needed a little fixing, to be used again. They placed on all objects a sticker encouraging donations. Lots of people showed their constructive side. And these are the kind of people that can help Japan rise from under the rubble.

Our True Blue Stories
In 2011 we asked our Blue Champions to share their best True Blue stories. From a paperless office in Namibia, to a sustainable art gallery in New Zealand, to Chile’s deep connection and commitment to environmental preservation, each of our offices approaches sustainability in their own unique way.
Here you’ll find a selection of those stories to explore. Have a great example from your own office that you want to celebrate? Email your best True Blue story to your Sustainability Engagement Manager, Erin Lyons.
Our dream is that each and every office in Saatchi & Saatchi has a go-to Blue Champion to help define and drive their own movement forward.
