What Is True Blue?
True Blue is the name of our internal sustainability program encompassing four streams of sustainability: social, economic, environmental, and cultural.
- Social: Issues that affect all members of society, including poverty, violence, injustice, education, healthcare, labor relations and human rights.
- Economic: Issues that affect how humans meet their basic needs, including employment opportunities, access to healthcare and safe housing.
- Environmental: Issues that affect the Earth’s ecology, including climate change, preservation of natural resources, carbon footprint and conservation.
- Cultural: Issues surrounding how communities manifest identity and preserve and cultivate art, traditions and customs from generation to generation.
It Starts with a DOT
True Blue is based upon the power of the collective impact of billions of small actions. It’s about big thinking and small changes. And it starts with a DOT: people Doing One Thing that they care about, that makes them feel good, that has a positive impact on the world.
A DOT is a small change in a daily routine and, over time, one DOT inevitably leads to another. These results build upon themselves to create a groundswell of impact. And ultimately, connecting a billion DOTs around the world reveals a bigger picture: a better world.
